Stuart M. Hacken WV6H,  of Gardendale, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2013 in Midland, Texas. He was 58 years old. He was born May 6, 1955, in Jersey City, N.J. In 1973, the family left New York for California. Stuart worked in his family-owned business at Portrait World.
 
After leaving the family business, he went to work for Western Radio. From Western Radio, he soon found his home at Motorola in 1979. During this time, Stuart also served as a Reserve Deputy for the San Diego County Sheriff's office. Stuart continued to work professionally with several law enforcement agencies throughout his career. Stuart was passionate about his work at Motorola.
 
In 2005, he transferred from San Diego to West Texas to further his career as Territory Manager. Stuart's career with Motorola spanned 34 years. He accomplished many great things in his life and has left behind quite a legacy. Stuart enjoyed many hobbies including photography, HAM radio, and playing bass guitar. He loved music and was active in several different bands throughout his lifetime.
 
While in San Diego, he played for both The Dynamix and in the Hot House Band. In West Texas, he played bass in the Glove Box Band. He also played with several other local bands. Everywhere he went, "Kronos" went too. That was the nickname given to his bass rig. It seemed that Stu never knew a stranger - he had a genuine love of people.
